A couple of weeks ago, I received word that I will be running for Team Oiselle! Oiselle (pronounced wa-zell), is a company that has created women specific running apparel. I love their clothing, and am so excited to represent them here in the awesome state of Utah!
Here are some pictures of the apparel from this awesome company….
So, if you know me, everything has a story, and this is no different. So, without further ado…here it is…
Okay, so last year at the beginning of the race season, I had many goals in mind. I, of course wanted to improve my times (running a sub 3:00 marathon was at the top of the list). My next goal was to break even on all of my race fees. As a mother of five kids, the last thing I wanted was to spend money on myself that could have (should have) been used for my family. I have never been one to spend money on myself. It wasn’t until this year that I finally broke down and bought a new pair of running shorts (the Oiselle Roga shorts), after rotating the same 3 pair I had from college. I was raised to make due and to be frugal, and am very grateful to my parents for that. Needless to say, I was able to achieve that goal! I didn’t spend a dime of our family money on my running last year. For some, that may not matter, but as a wife of a teacher, and one who also works hard to help support my family financially, this was huge for me.

As I looked forward to this year, I had the same goals in mind. However, a few months ago, a friend of mine, Allison DeLancey, who is an amazing runner, posted that she was going to be sponsored by Oiselle. It got me thinking about applying for sponsorships, myself. So, I did! And, I am so excited to say that I will also be running for this amazing company! I am so excited!!! . I am so honored to be able to be on a team that represents such amazing women from around the country. Soon, I will have a profile up on their website, and I will post it when it is up.
Here is a picture of Allison and her husband, Derek. I ran with Allison in high school, and have been inspired by her since a very young age. Her husband has been so kind to create a training program for me this year! They are an amazing couple. Here is a link to their blog: parents on the run
Even in my wildest dreams, I would have never thought that I would be able to run at this level again, and be enjoying myself so much! I am here to say, that even in the year that I thought I would begin the downward roll (this year I will be 30!), I am able still able to achieve dreams that I never thought I would. I am looking forward to, and hoping for a great year! Go, Team Oiselle!
Congrats again Arianne! Go team Oiselle!
Thank you 🙂
Awesome!
Thanks!
